The old stone hump-backed bridge made famous
by Robert Burns in his poem Tam o'Shanter.

The bridge is a public footpath, easily accessible and with free parking nearby.

(Bridge of the River Doon, nothing to do with Brigadoon, the fantasy film.)

The last view (looking upstream) is of the general area and includes the Brig o'Doon Hotel, the Burns Monument Gardens, Ayr Rugby Club and the hills to the south-east of Ayr.

That's the B7024 Maybole road over the new bridge closest to the camera.
