The Bathgate Pyramids
on the M8
One of a series of artworks designed to brighten up the journey along the M8 between
Glasgow and Edinburgh.
These are storage tanks built over to look like pyramids, just to give drivers and passengers something interesting to look at.

They're north of the motorway just east of J4 for Bathgate and west of J3 for Livingston.

These are often altered temporarily to create points of interest and here, in November 2025, they have Remembrance Poppies painted on to the three central pyramids.

The Scottish Remembrance Poppy differs in that it has four petals and no leaf as opposed to the rest of the UK where it has three petals and a single green leaf.
