The house was built along the line of the path across the image below with the loop of road being the front access to the house.

A few hundred yards away is the monument to Captain John Lauder, the son of Sir Harry and Lady Lauder, on the hill across from where the house was located.

John Lauder was killed in the First World War in 1916 after the estate was purchased by Sir Harry for his son and his future wife. There's a view from the monument over the glen to where Glenbranter House was located, tight against the hill.

This is located on the main road (the A815 north of Dunoon) and there's parking and free access but the path's a bit rough.
