At 44,300 gross tonnage this is a relatively small cruise ship. The port this year easily handled vessels 
up to the 113,000 tonnes of Cunard's Queen Anne and the even bigger Regal PRincess at 142,000 tonnes.
The Artania was built in Finland in 1984 and has previously been called Royal Princess and Artemis. Its current operators are Phoenix Reisen, a German travel company.

one of the prime cruise destinations in the UK.
Easy access for passengers, parking for buses, taxis and hired cars, easy access to trains to visit Glasgow and other 
tourist sites in the west of Scotland.
