Huntingtower Castle, just west of Perth, taken in autumn light.
Built before the 14th century and like so many Scottish castles it passed between various families. Best known was its time in the hands of the Ruthven family and that's where the alternative names “Ruthven Castle” or “Place of Ruthven“ came from.
Now in the hands of Historic Scotland the castle is a popular spot for weddings. Generally open to the public, usual paid access and membership.
