The neglected maze or labyrinth on the Raiders' Road in Galloway Forest Park.

The Raiders' Road is a forest drive through Galloway Forest Park, open during the summer months and costing £3 per car, regardless of size or number of passengers.

This is a very much overgrown maze or labyrinth just to the south of the Raiders' Road a mile or so in from the western entrance on the A712 (The Queen's Road) just south of Clatteringshaws.

In the first photo you can see the road to the north and the River Dee to the south. The pattern of the maze is very traditional - probably - and there's no current information on who built it or why. You can see from two other mazes, linked to below, what the pattern originally looked like.
