The Otter Pool, on the Raiders' Road in Galloway Forest Park.
The Raiders' Road is a forest drive through Galloway Forest Park, open during the summer months and costing £3 per car, regardless of size or number of passengers.
This is the Otter Pool on the River Dee about half-way along the road. There's a car park and toilets as well as the picnic area
The sculpture of the otter in the last photo is much bigger than life size. It has to be so that it doesn't get lost in the grass, otters aren't that big.
Can you see otters in the pool? No idea but with all the human activity nearby it seems unlikely.
