In the southern part of Beescraig Country Park roughly midway between Bathgate, three miles to the south and
Linlithgow, slightly closer to the north.
A quiet and remote area, both peaceful and appropriate. There are brown direction signs to the monument from all nearby main roads.
The monument lists the names of those killed in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. Soldiers, airmen, sailors and others from Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England, all listed by regiments and duties.
The monument has plenty of free parking and access is by way of a smooth and gently sloping path, easy for all to use. An information board on the path from the car park provides full details in both English and Korean.
Parts of the site are dedicated to regiments, such as the Black Watch.
