Whithorn Priory in Dumfries & Galloway just to the west of the main street of Whithorn.
This location is run by Historic Sctoalnd and the Whithorn Trust. The museum is well worth a visit and has some amazing carvings and sculptures from the eraly days of Christianity. The Priory was founded in the early1100s and becane the cathedral church of Galloway though today pretty much all signs of the original cathedral are lost to time. In the grounds there's a repliac of an Iron Age Roundhouse (seen in most of the photos) helping to explain and explore the long human history in this area. Rispain Camp, neraby and linked to below, is another ancient site among many in this area.
