Starting on the western shore of Loch Fyne the Crinan Canal runs from Ardrishaig over to
Crinan on the west coast by the Sound of Jura.
These photos show the canal basin just insdie the first lock and the second and third locks north.
The middle photo shows the swing bridge across the A83 opening to allow a boat to enter the sea lock and the last three show the same boat (after the bridge swings back and the road re-opens) as the water level falls in the lock and it sails free into Loch Fyne.
