This is an L-shaped three storey tower house just off the A77 to the south of Maybole in South Ayrshire.

Built in 1574 and with strong connections to the Kennedy family it was used right up to the end of the 18th century.

As you can see it's in dire need of restoration and various schemes have been put forward over the years to turn it back into a liveable home. It's now said to be in the hands of an Italian gentleman who has plans to convert it into a music school. It's a Grade A listed building which with other factors will make the restoration pretty expensive.

Located on the main road between Ayr and Stranraer less than a mile from Crossraguel Abbey and about the same distance from the edge of Maybole, both linked to below.

There's no public access.
