Coodham Lake by Bogend Toll, near Symington, is one of a few lakes in Scotland.

There is a common myth that there's only one lake in Scotland - Lake of Menteith - but this is one of several others.

Coodham House used to be a monastery but has been developed into some rather nice homes, all built in the private grounds around the lake. These photos were taken looking north on a day with scudding clouds and showers.
