Dalrymple Church
East Ayrshire

Dalrymple, Ayrshire, with the church at the southern edge of the village.

This was the location where Robert Burns was sent in the summer of 1772 to the Dalrymple Parish School, run as so many were in those times by the local minister.

The current church is built, as you can see, on the edge of the village right on the bank of the River Doon.
