East Kilbride Football Club - nicknamed “The Kilby” - have again this year
won their league and have now been promoted to Scottish League One for the 2026/27 season.
These photos are of the K-Park ground in Calderglen Country Park, a small stadium holding up to 700 spectators, 300 of them seated.
Although formed in 1871 the club was dormant for many years and was revived in 2010 having successfully risen from the ranks of amateur football to its present semi-professional status.
If they keep up that record they'll need a bigger stadium any day now.
The first photo is of the park which also has the local rugby and cricket clubs as well as a golf course (Torrance) and a small animal zoo.
Add to that a tropical conservatory, ornamental gardens, nature walks and trails and various play areas.
There's the obligatory café, disabled access, toilets and free parking.
