Bill Shankly Memorial
Glenbuck Heritage Village, Ayrshire

The monument to Bill Shankly, revered manager of Liverpool Football Club and his memorial has pride of place at the western end of the village.

These monuments, new and gathered from the local area, are in tribute to the village, the miners who worked here and their families.

One of the stones is a tribute to the Glenbuck Cherrypickers, the highly successful local football team.

The whole area. Access is free and there's plenty of free parking. Information boards guide visitors around the site.
