Morton was founded in 1874 a couple of years after the club across the river in Dumbarton.
The name was changed to Greenock Morton as recently as 1994. Morton play in the Scottish Championship and like all other Scottish senior clubs they also run a women's team.
On the A8 through Port Glasgow to Greenock and well served with both bus and train travel.
