Founded in the late 1100s by Tironesian monks with strong links to Kelso Abbey.

Much of the Abbey was destroyed during the Reformation, around 1560. From the east you can see how extensive the grounds are. That's the Main Street along the right side. The church (Kilwinning Old Parish Church) is still in use.

The Abbey is free to access and there's ample parking nearby.
