That didn't take long. Someone calling themselves “name edited to protect privacy” (surely not their given name?) has asked why the site's called 400photos.uk?

Simple. Most of the photos are taken by drone and the usual maximum height that a drone can fly to is 394 feet, often referred to as 400 feet. So, that gives us the 400 part of the name.

For the real nerds amongst us the actual height allowed is 120 metres and that translates as 393 feet 8 1/2 inches (to the nearest smidgeon) but 400 feet is used generally in conversation.

Having been in the planning and design process for many months the 400photos.uk website has finally been completed and uploaded to the server.

Google and other search engines have been informed and the press have been alerted. We asked for a Royal Warrant but sadly have not yet received a reply. Maybe the King's busy?

There are more photos on hand to process and upload, Glasgow sights, bridges and autumn scenes.
